I live on the East Coast, and for the first time I experienced the 17 year Cicadas. They emerged in 2021 after being underground for so long. We’re talking thousands and thousands of them. I’d never experienced anything quite like it. Of course I had to commemorate the event with a greeting card. It ended up being this corny dad joke for Father’s Day. I paired it up with a chocolate cicada from a local bakery (no, not a chocolate covered one. Just a chocolate in shape of one).
This card is fun and different from the usual Father’s Day cards. It can easily be customized for other occasions such as a birthday. Of course it’s perfect for cicada loving folk, or insect experts such as an entomologist.
