A Hanukkah card with a pretty floral menorah theme. The front says Happy Hanukkah, the inside is blank with plenty of space to write your own message and well wishes. I know there are different styles of Hanukkah cards out there. This one has more of a classic design that brings in a touch of nature with the flowers.
The inspiration for this card comes from my husband‘s Jewish family. December becomes a really busy time for us because my side of the family is Christian/Catholic. So we end up celebrating Hanukkah AND Christmas. I always joke that I’m going to send out Chrismakkuh cards to cover both bases. If I can come up with a good design concept, I’ll definitely do it! For now, we send out two different cards.
Even though it gets really crazy, we do enjoy celebrating both holidays. My husband enjoys teaching the boys about Hanukkah and what that’s about. He enjoys the tradition of getting them together in the evening, lighting the candle and saying a prayer. It’s something he grew up with, and he loves passing it on to our kids. I have enjoyed learning how to create different Jewish recipes like matzoh ball soup, latkes and kugle.
Anyhow, this greeting card will be a nice surprise in the mailbox. Not many people send cards these days. We’re more likely to send a text message or post something on social media. Receiving something printed and written, is very special. And it’s something you can keep and look back on. You can’t do that with a text message!
Do you need a card with custom message? Or a different size? I have this design available on Zazzle:
