This design is part of a series of Gingerbread theme illustrations, and inspired by my son’s love of trains. For many years he was a train-crazy kid. I think it started when someone gave him a Geotrax set. I don’t think they make those anymore, but we still have it in storage. He taught me about all the parts of the train, and if he sees this he’ll point out what I missed 🙂
The illustration is a scene of a red and green steam engine pulling a cart. Instead of being filled with coal, it has presents and a decorated tree. A gingerbread conductor drives the train. Snow is falling and in the background are snow-covered mountains. You can personalize the bottom with your own message.
