Outdoor Birthday Party Ideas

Cindy 29/04/2016 0
April 29, 2016   When my son's birthday was around the corner I started looking for ideas. I discovered that the nearby parks offered birthday parties. And they're very affordable! I just love the outdoors so was really excited about this idea. One in particular was just down the street from us. They have themes including Amphibians and Reptiles or Butterflies and Insects. They also have a naturalist who can help you come up with a theme.   The great thing about these parties (at least from the parent perspective) is that you just show up with the food and they take care of the rest!...

That is, until I showed him what was inside. From there on he'd pick up an egg, open it and eat the contents. Go to the next egg, open and eat. I tried to convince him to pick up ALL the eggs at once and then examine ...

Non Candy Easter Basket Ideas

March 20, 2016   Easter is next week. I know my kids are going to get their fill of candy so I try to balance things out by giving them the non-sugary stuff. If you're looking for non candy ideas here are some fun ones:   Books. We're avid book readers in our household and I love to give them as gifts.     Mine! by Susie Lee Jin was just released in January 2016. It's a cute story of bunnies fighting over a carrot and ultimately a message about sharing.      Peep and Ducky Rainy Day by David Martin is a story of two birds looking to entertain themselves both indoors and out...

March 14, 2016   As we head towards Spring students are finishing school and ready to celebrate their accomplishments. Many will finish programs and receive diplomas and degrees. They also want to share their excitement with family and friends. And there's no better way to do that than by sending an announcement or an invitation to a party.   With so many styles out there, how do you find the right announcement? Here are some questions to consider as you narrow down the choices. Do you want an announcement with a photo or not? What styles appeal to you? Classic/Traditio...
